Members of a Rotary Club are part of a diverse group of professional leaders working to address community and international service needs and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.

  • Rotary clubs receive a charter from the worldwide organisation - Rotary International.
  • A Rotarian belongs to a particular Rotary club after being invited to join that club.
  • Rotary districts are a way of grouping a number of clubs in a particular geographic area. The area covered quite often crosses state and even national boundaries.

District 9780 incorporates 51 clubs extending  from Drysdale in central south Victoria up to Swan Hill in the far north of Victoria and across to Millicent in south east South Australia. 

The Clubs shown on the map that are no longer chartered are: Wendouree, Ballarat Young Ambition, Ballan, Mortlake , Boort, Dimboola, Kaniva, Queenscliffe, Hamilton North, Corio Bay & Hopetoun
