District Assembly 2022 - register now for launch

District Assembly 2022 will be a virtual / online event commencing with the launch on Tuesday 10 May 2022 at 7:30pm (Vic time) online via Teams.

All Rotarians are invited to attend. This training is especially important for your 2022 - 2023 club leadership team. Registering for the launch ensures you have access to the District Learning Centre.

District Changeover - Register now

Registrations are now open on TryBooking for District 9780 Changeover to be held at Allurah in Magpie, Ballarat on Sunday 3 July 2022. $50 per person, drinks at bar prices.

If you are unable to attend, the event will also be streamed. Details will be published closer to the event.

Delegate registration cost for RICON23 in Melbourne changes depending on when you register. The earlier you register the more economical the price.

During Houston Convention timing (June 4th -8th ) if you register and pay for attending RICON23 you shall receive the maximum discount. From June 9th , the cost increases by $50. There is also a further increase after December 15th and then greater increases after March and April 2023.

Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends can obtain the maximum discount to attend RICON23. From 4 June 2022 registration will be available through the RI website on this link

Environmental Day challenge

Our Environmental Challenge is now on, closing May 20.

We would love your help to get the message out to your communities, encouraging them to get involved.

The Challenge is FREE to enter and very simple – We want people to send us their ideas that can make a practical, positive difference to our environment.

There are 2 sections School-aged and Open. Both close on May 20^th and winners will be announced on World Environment Day – 5 June.

National RAM Secretary - vacancy

Call for Expressions of Interest

Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) is a national initiative established in 1997 to help end malaria in our partner countries (Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Timor Leste and West Timor). We save lives by providing support to our partners to prevent malaria infections.

A key national position within RAM is now available. We wish to invite all Rotarians who would like a leadership role as the National Secretary for RAM and may be suitable candidates to email an “Expression of Interest” for the position.

RI Past Director Robert Hall has just informed me we have found another small child with the wild polio virus in North Waziristan, Pakistan!

The child has the typical acute flaccid Paralysis.

As with the case last week, this terrible news further inspires us to continue our fight on behalf of the children of the world - and increase our fund raising efforts as we close in on the end of the 2021/22 Rotary year.

Vaccination campaigns are being intensified and all members of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative are focused on the challenge of the task ahead.
