Turkish midwifery students
Supporting Nursing Students Affected by the Earthquake
The Global Nurses and Midwives Rotary Club has launched an appeal to assist those student nurses impacted by the devastating earthquake in Turkiye and Syria. Donations can be made to the bank details below.
The Turkish Nursing Association (TNA) is a professional organization representing and advocating for nurses and the nursing profession in Turkey.
Since the devastating earthquake in Feb 2023, the President of the TNA has told us of the immense hardship and losses that their members have suffered. Many student nurses have lost family members, their homes and the ability to complete their Nursing studies.
With this in mind, the Global Nurses and Midwives Rotary Club encourages our Nursing colleagues and Rotarian family to assist us in raising funds to help our devastated Turkish Nursing students in need.
A message from President Turkish Nurses Association, Azize ATLI ÖZBAŞ
Thank you for supporting our student nurses. Several nursing students lost their families and their homes. Several students live in tent cities, where there is no money to go to nursing school. A regular scholarship will assist them continue their education. We estimate that support of 150 euros per month for each student will help them to continue their lives and nursing education.

New places new faces
Moving? Time for a change?
Have you recently moved to a new city?  How about checking out all the local Rotary clubs in your new home area.
Rosanne just did this and found that the Rotary Club of Kardinia suited her lifestyle being a breakfast club, and was inducted this week as a member. She is seen here with PE Liz Cairns, who introduced her, and President Richard.
Congratulations to Kardinia on welcoming a PDG of our district as a new member...
