The Rotary Club of Geelong is working with Barwon Water employees to develop a sewerage scheme for the small village of Sariri in Papua New Guinea

Located in a remote area east of the Kokoda Track, the Sariri village was wiped out by a cylcone in 2007.  Rebuilding is well underway with a sawmill established, a school & accommodation being built and a basic water supply switched on

A working group has volunteered to develop  a program to deliver information to help the site contingent with the construction of a sanitation solution.  The team is developing information and solutions for safety, construction techniques and design concepts which can be built upon by volunteers before the Club's next visit to the area later in the year.
