The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria. This page give you or club information about the checks available.

You can update the following details using your Working with Children Check card number:

Apply for a Working with Children Check SA

Check the status of a Working With Children Check card, or a pending application for one. You can see the result online or have a copy of the results emailed to you.

You can bulk upload up to 1500 Working with Children Checks at once using a CSV file with these columns in this exact order:

You can check as many statuses as you like. Your CSV file needs to be less than 1500 rows and 1MB in size.   Make sure you have someone’s permission if you’re checking their WWCC status. Penalties may apply if you don’t.

You will need a Working with Children Check if you are 14 years of age or over and you do:

• child-related work as a volunteer or employee for more than seven days a year
• any child-related work that involves overnight stays, or close personal contact with a child with a disability.

During the check process, the agency will assess:

• your national criminal history record
• any disclosable court outcomes, such as charges, convictions, and court appearances
• child protection information.

Individuals may apply for their own check, or an organization may apply for a check on behalf of an individual. An organization must register with the agency before applying for checks on behalf of individuals.
