VOCATIONAL SERVICE.
When Paul Harris founded Rotary nearly 113 years ago, Vocational Service was a foremost cornerstone of the principles of Rotary. The collective experiences of a broad spectrum of occupations, enabled Rotary to grow. The diversification of experiences also underpinned the wide range of community opportunities and projects to be undertaken.

Now we are more flexible and creative with our membership make up. However, the principle of diversification is as important and relevant today. As our community make up changes, so should our membership, to reflect the community, so we may meet their changing needs.

Many of our clubs support our schools and their students, through achievement and excellence awards. This continues into Apprenticeship awards, Pride of Workmanship awards – great night and opportunity to recognise and showcase local talent and endeavours in the presence of proud employers.

Mentoring students and new businesses is also a great way of engaging with and assisting new entrepreneurs.
